Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy Review

Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy

Description

Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy helps to nourish and improve the definition on and around the lips while visibly smoothing fine lines for fuller, younger-looking lips. Composed of sugar derivative, spilanthes acmella flower, skin-firming amino acids, and adenosine, Sugar A3 Complex is the ultimate age-delay protection to help regenerate youthful lips. It helps to target the loss of skin firmness and the appearance of deep wrinkles while protecting collagen and elastin.

Look

As you can see in the photo above, the serum comes in a pump form. I personally like pumps best because it limits the amount of bacteria that is spread after each use. That being said, one full pump releases far too much product. It is best to only push the pump halfway which should give just about the right amount required.

Touch

The formula is a light weight, silky, and has an almost cream like consistency.  It is easy to apply and does not leave any stickiness

Feel

On application it gives a slight sheen and provides a nice cooling sensation. Your lips will feel tingly long after you apply it. The taste is slightly bitter but not very noticeable after some time.

Results

As far as lip serums go, it is still a very new category of products and there aren't many other products to compare with.

On its own, it is fairly effective and made my severely chapped lip much softer overnight. But given that it is a serum, it is best to follow with a layer of lip balm on top.

A combination of this serum and a lip balm overnight provided very good results. My lips were noticeably smoother and seemed to reduce the amount of flakiness I had.

Verdict

Having used this product for couple of weeks now, I would say that this is a product definitely worth buying. Before this, my lips would stay smooth as long as I kept re-applying my lip balm through out the day. However, since I've started using this product, I no longer feel the need to reach for my lip balms as much.

Is it an essential product? I don't think so. But if you don't mind the heavy price ($41 CAD, Sephora), I think it could be purchase that you won't regret.

So there's my first review. Did I do okay? Please leave your comments and suggestions below.

Introduction

Hi everyone!

So this is my first post and I'm more than a little nervous. Before I start posting swatches and tutorials and all the other goodies, I feel it is a good time to introduce myself. So I'm going to interview myself  and hopefully give you a better idea who I am and what I have to offer through this site.

So here goes...

Name

Minkie (This is a nickname but I like it more than my real name)

Work

I work in engineering, a profession that has little to do with beauty. As such, I need an outlet for my beauty obsession which is growing by the day.

Preferences

Brands

Everything I own is paid for with my hard earned money. So I will only buy products worth the cash. The quality of a product is more important than the brand name.

Nars, Dior, Shiseido, Benefit, Maybelline, Rimmel, NYC, YSL, Aveda.

Beauty outlook

I believe in beauty that is both subtle yet eye catching. Classic and elegant. Simplicity can often yield the most stunning results!

Why do you want to write a beauty blog?

Beauty has always been a passion for me. Seeing so many wonderful make up gurus on YouTube and other places has inspired me to try and share my own experiences with you all.

What do you have to offer that isn't already available in other beauty blogs ?

There are so many blogs out there but very few that are catered towards those who are only just starting to play with make up or have recently developed an interest in the subject.

I want to prove them with some easy to understand tips and tricks that will help create beautiful looks  with limited tools/ skills

I am also some one who tends skim through large texts trying filter out the most important bits. So expect my reviews to be in two parts. The first which will be short and to the point, and second which will be much more in depth.

What sort of information will you post?

Detailed reviews, tutorials, personalized recommendations, my favorite products. I already have a lot of ideas but would love to hear your suggestions.

If you've read this far, then I thank you for you effort. I plan to have about 2-3 posts every weeks. So please come back soon to read my first beauty post.
